June 16th, 2009 | by Vladimir Stajic |First you need to start the Virtual XP, just like you would any old virtual PC.

You get the desktop and basic Windows apps.

Now you need to install whatever “virtual” applications you will need. Since I will need the VPN to browse the company web pages remotely, my two applications here are Cisco VPN client and a web browser (I’ll be using Firefox). So I go ahead and install them. After the installation is finished I simply close the Virtual XP, like any other application (by clicking the red X on upper right corner). This puts the Virtual XP machine in hibernation.
