Cisco has recently announced new CCNA Voice, CCNA Security and CCNA Wireless certifications. Designed to build upon Cisco’s most popular career certification CCNA, these highly specialized associate-level certifications offer individuals a career stepping stone in the converged technologies that make up today’s sophisticated networks. While Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) remains the certification of choice for individuals who want to demonstrate their solid foundation in core routing and switching skills, the new CCNA Voice, CCNA Security and CCNA Wireless certifications build on core CCNA skills and provide a clear path for individuals to prepare for a specialized job role in voice, security or wireless technologies. In addition, these new CCNA certifications represent the first step and serve as prerequisites for Cisco professional level certifications including CCVP and CCSP.

The Cisco CCNA Security certification confirms individual’s entry-level skills for developing a security infrastructure, recognizing threats and vulnerabilities to networks, and mitigating security threats. NIL offers a number of CCNA Security learning solutions including the new Implementing Cisco IOS Network Security (IINS) course.

The Cisco CCNA Voice certification confirms the individual’s entry-level skills in Voice-over-IP (VoIP) technologies such as IP PBX, IP telephony, handset, call control, and voicemail solutions. NIL offers several CCNA Voice learning products including the new Implementing Cisco IOS Unified Communications (IIUC) course.

The Cisco CCNA Wireless recognizes candidate’s skills in the configuration, implementation and support of wireless LANs, specifically those networks using Cisco equipment. NIL support of CCNA Wireless program is based on the Implementing Cisco Unified Wireless Networking Essentials (IUWNE) course.
